Perishable: cold chain, OTD, and shrink
Perishable cargo punishes delay twice: product shrink and on-time delivery failure (OTD / OTIF). The warehouse does not “store cold”: it holds a temperature contract to the dock and hands it to the reefer with evidence.
- Location: room with setpoint by family; do not improvise a “cool aisle”.
- Rotation: FEFO (first expired, first out) tied to WMS · not only visual FIFO.
