What is an SQCDP board (short answer)

SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) is a lean visual-management system: each letter is a column (or row) with one or two key performance indicators (KPIs) for the shift or day, a green/yellow/red status, and space for open actions.

In a distribution center (DC), on the dock, or in a freight control tower, the “product” is not a line piece: it is a trip, an appointment, a proof of delivery (POD), or a file ready for accounts payable. That is why this guide maps the letters to Mexico–US freight — not to a manufacturing execution system (MES).

SQDC leaves People implicit (staffing on another board or in the shift plan). Prefer SQCDP when load per analyst, absenteeism, or overtime already warps OTIF and cost.

Deep causes to Pareto / RCA afterward. The huddle is not the workshop.

Practical rule: every red or yellow cell leaves the huddle with an owner, due date, and correction type (contain today vs investigate). Investigation goes to RCA or Pareto — not improvised between dock appointments.
