Definition

Manual TMS capture is your team's work of feeding a transport system (order, status, evidence, invoice) so the software knows the shipment. A register-only TMS is, in practice, a glorified database: without capture (by analysts or agents) there is no operating truth.

It is not the TMS’s fault: it was built to register. The mistake is expecting it to register and execute alone.
